1959 Epiphone Sheraton

1959 Epiphone Sheraton in very good condition.  An excellent example of the brief transition era of Epiphone following its purchase by Gibson in 1957, this Sunburst-finish Sheraton (Serial number A2609) is all-original, with the exception of the bridge, which was replaced with a Tone Pros AVR-II with graphite saddles, and possibly the nut, which looks like it may have been replaced and shimmed.  The New York pickups, Frequensator tailpiece, PAF Grover tuners and "Octagon" knobs are all original, however, and all function perfectly.  The action is good, and the guitar plays and sounds great.  There is typical wear, including lacquer checking and tarnish of the gold hardware, and a headstock crack that was repaired structurally, but not cosmetically.  The frets were replaced at some point as well.  The 5-ply neck has a "Soft V" profile.  It includes the original hardshell case, which also shows plenty of wear, but is structurally sound.
