The Taurus definitely has its own thing going on and can't really be compared to anything out there from its own time. The secret lies in the piezo pickup hidden in the bridge. The first knob is a blend pot for the two pickups giving you control over how they interact with each other, with the other knob being the volume. The body is solid maple and it has a full 34" scale so it really rings out. If anything it sounds closer to a Rickenbacker than a Fender, but its got a big sound with good definition. There are no breaks or repairs and this one is 100% original. There is a bit of buckle rash and a couple of dings but overall good. It has a big, chunky neck, and weighs in at 10 lbs 4.6 oz. Nice sunburst finish. The original hardshell case is OK cosmetically, but solid structurally.
