Early 1920s Vega Tu-Ba-Phone Guitar Banjo in very good condition. Serial # 46090, made in Boston. Relatively rare instrument from the era, featuring patented Tu-Ba-Phone tone ring, and rim is fitted with Fairbanks band and tortoise edge cap. Bound ebony fingerboard inlayed with dots, diamonds, and ovals. Headstock features Vega star logo. Bridge may be original, but tuners were replaced with planetary versions. Expected wear, especially on the back of the neck, but overall very good. Graphite rods were added to the neck by Otto D'Ambrosio for added straightness. Great-sounding instrument, and loud! Includes vintage hardshell case.
