Nothing beats a solid wood guitar when you are talking acoustics, but that usually comes at a steep price tag that many musicians simply can't afford. As with all Masterbilt's, the AJ-500RNS features a solid rosewood top, hand-scalloped Sitka Spruce braces, and mahogany kerfing along with a rosewood bridge and bone saddle. One of the great aspects of a Sitka Spruce top is that is gets better with age and playing time! The advanced jumbo shape also contributes to its great tone by providing deeper bass, ringing highs, and a crystal clear mid-range with none of the muddiness often associated with dreadnoughts. Finally, a solid rosewood back also contributes to the great tone of this guitar.
Hardware on the AJ-500RNS includes gold Grover Sta-Tite 18:1 ratio machine heads, a bone nut and saddle, a tortoise style pick guard, solid nickel hardware, and a bound body, neck and headstock.
