This is a 1949 acoustic archtop made by Gibson for National. (Think Gibson L-50). It has a 16+" body with a pressed solid spruce arched top and a laminated maple back and sides, wide shield metal 'National' logo on the peghead, dot fretboard inlays, a glued-in neck that has been over sprayed with schellac to cover the bare wood, and a clear plexiglass pickguard. The tuners have been replaced but are under the original National tuner cover plates so they look correct. The bridge has been replaced. There is a K&K pickup installed inside with a 1/4" jack out thru the butt. Cosmetically a bit challenged with lacquer checks all over and general playing wear. No case.
