Introduction To Spanish Guitar - Tuesday, March 24 - 6:30pm-8pm
Intro to Spanish Guitar is a 90-minute workshop designed for guitarists who are new to Spanish guitar, Flamenco, and Classical fingerstyle traditions. This session is ideal for beginners or players from other styles who want a clear, practical introduction to fundamental techniques, including right-hand fingerstyle basics, rhythm, and tone production. Participants will leave with a better understanding of how Flamenco guitar differs from Classical guitar, and what it takes to begin developing these styles properly.
Whether you’re a rock, jazz, or acoustic guitarist looking to expand your musical horizons, or someone ready to begin their Flamenco journey, this workshop offers a great starting point.

| Instructor Bio: | David Chiriboga is a Chicago-based professional Spanish guitarist with over 20 years of performance and teaching experience. In addition to his own projects, David currently performs with Ensemble Español Spanish Dance Theatre and Guitarra Azul, runs a popular educational Spanish guitar YouTube channel, and recently published The Spanish Guitar Chord Book. He holds a degree in Classical music from Northeastern Illinois University and has studied extensively in southern Spain over the past several years. |
